What We Make Loans On
We specialize in making collateral loans against fine jewelry, precious metals and fine art.
How it Works
We have been told that the hardest thing new loan customers have to do is contact us the first time. The process is actually very simple. It is necessary for you bring in your collateral so we can determine your amount. For most jewelry items, we make loans with cash on the spot while you wait.
As
far as our loan process goes, the loan is written for 4 months, at the interest rate set by California State Law. At the end of the loan
period, you can either pay the interest to extend your loan for another 4
months, or pay the interest + the principal amount of your loan and take your item
home with you.
Art Loans
Making
loans on fine art is a different experience than working with jewelry.
We are experts in jewelry and can make valuation decisions on the spot,
but often times fine art has its own complications and we may need to
research these items further.
We
work quietly and confidentially with art appraisers and auction houses
to determine appropriate loan values. It is important to bring any
documentation, including certificates of authenticity, bills of sale,
and previous appraisals when bringing art to us for evaluation. Fine art
usually takes 5-10 business days to evaluate and determine loan value.
We do not charge storage fees or appraisal fees for potential loans. For larger loans, we reserve the right to investigate any claims or liens against goods offered as collateral. This process is generally accomplished within 72 hours. With this exception, all jewelry loans can be made quickly and you will be on your way with the funds you need.
